Red Chilli and Tomato Pachadi Recipe
Red Chilli and Tomato Pachadi recipe is an easy and instant recipe which requires less ingredients to make. It comes with tangy flavour but with a hint of red chillies. It is full of flavour and can be served with various dishes like paratha, idli, dosa, uttapam, steamed rice etc. Serve it as a side dish along with your meal and we are sure it will enhance the taste of your food.

1/2 tablespoon White Urad Dal (Split)

1/2 tablespoon Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal)

8 Fresh Red chillies

4 Tomatoes

1/2 tablespoon Tamarind Paste

1/2 tablespoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu)

1/2 tablespoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)

10 Curry leaves
Instructions
Step 1
To begin making the Red Chilli and Tomato Pachadi recipe, heat 1 tablespoon oil in a heavy bottomed pan
Step 2
Once it is hot, add urad dal, chana dal and cook it for about a minute
Step 3
After a minute, add the tomatoes and fresh red chillies
Step 4
Season with salt and cook them until tomatoes turn soft and mushy
Step 5
Switch off the flame and let it cool down for 5 minutes
Step 6
Once it is cold down, add the mixture in a mixing jar and grind it to a coarse paste
Step 7
The next step is to temper the pachadi
Step 8
Heat oil in a tadka pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves
Step 9
Saute it for about 20 seconds
Step 10
Add this tempering to the pachadi and mix it well
Step 11
Red Chilli Tomato Chutney is ready to serve

Serve Red Chilli and Tomato Pachadi along with Mixed Vegetable Sambar, Cauliflower Thoran and Steamed Rice with a dollop of ghee
