Kerala Style Mutton Stew Recipe
Mutton Stew Kerala Style is a simple mutton gravy recipe which is very easy to cook and requires a few daily ingredients to prepare. The use of coconut, onion and tomato brings out a different flavour altogether in the gravy. This dish can be served with rice or it tastes great with Lachha Parathas also.

1 teaspoon Poppy seeds

1 inch Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)

1 teaspoon Coriander (Dhania) Seeds

4 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves

Instructions
Step 1
To begin making the Kerala Style Mutton Stew Recipe, clean and wash the mutton pieces and keep them aside
Step 2
Dice the onion, chillies, and tomatoes into small pieces
Step 3
Peel and dice the potatoes into four pieces and keep it aside
Step 4
Grind the coriander seeds and poppy seeds separately to a fine paste
Step 5
Grind the ginger and garlic together
Step 6
Next add onions, chilies, tomatoes, spices and salt to the mutton and give it a good stir so that mutton pieces are coated properly
Step 7
Heat the oil and add spices including poppy seeds, cinnamon, cloves and coriander seeds
Step 8
Cook it for few minutes and make sure that spices are not getting burnt

Add the mutton and fry it for a while
Step 10
Add just sufficient water to cook the mutton; cook till the time mutton pieces become tender and cooked
Step 11
Next, add the grated coconut & chopped coriander leaves
Step 12
Cook it for 7 to 9 minutes on low heat and serve it hot
Step 13
