Instructions
Step 1
To begin making the Kerala Style Chakka varattiyathu Ari Payasam Recipe, we will first boil the jackfruit

Boil the chopped jackfruit with 1/2 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat

Leave it on medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, till the jackfruit become soft and turns pulpy

Switch off the flame, and allow it to cool down

Transfer this into a a mixer-jar and grind it into a smooth paste

Heat a saucepan, add in the brown rice, milk, jackfruit puree, and 1 cup water, cardamom pod and allow it to boil on medium-low heat

You can keep stirring till the milk thickens and rice is boiled

This is a slow process that will take sometime
